Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s staff said on Thursday they are considering sending “a few thousand” more illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard.
This comes after DeSantis happily revealed on Wednesday he was responsible for sending two planes carrying the illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard. In response to outraged leftists, DeSantis spoke from Okaloosa County, Florida to explain his decision.
This comes after Martha’s Vineyard Homeless Shelter Coordinator Lisa Belcastro threw a complete fit over the 50 illegal immigrants DeSantis sent to Martha’s Vineyard, an island home to former President Barack Obama and many other prominent figures. She claims they don’t have housing for 50 more people and the migrants must “move somewhere else.”
“The difficult challenges are — we have to, at some point in time they [illegals] have to move from here to somewhere else – we cannot, we don’t have the services to take care of 50 immigrants and we certainly don’t have housing. We’re in a housing crisis as we are on this island! We can’t house everyone here that lives here and works here,” Belcastro said.
Despite Belcastro’s claims of not being able to “take care of 50 immigrants,” Martha’s Vineyard is a tourist hotspot, experiencing thousands of tourists every summer.
“We don’t have housing for 50 more people,” Belcastro claims.
“We take what’s happening at the southern border very seriously, unlike some and unlike the President of the United States, who has refused to lift a finger to secure that border,” DeSantis began. “We’ve worked on innovative ways to be able to protect the state of Florida from the impact of Biden’s border policies. Florida is not a sanctuary state, and it’s better to be able to go to a sanctuary jurisdiction,” he added.
“And yes, we will help facilitate that transport for you to be able to go to greener pastures,” DeSantis continued.
“There was no warning on any of this. And all those people in D.C. in New York were beating their chests when Trump was president, saying they were so proud of the sanctuary jurisdictions,” he said. “And it just shows you, you know, their virtue signaling is a fraud, ok? They are supporting policies that are just frankly indefensible. It is not defensible for a superpower to not have any control over the territory of its country, over the borders of its country,” DeSantis added.

A Latina Democrat has called out “smug liberals” and defended Florida’s Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis for bringing the border to Martha’s Vineyard.
Gloria Romero, the former Majority Leader of the California State Senate, blasted hypocritical Democrats for complaining about migrants arriving in wealthy liberal areas such as Martha’s Vineyard while they continue to ignore the real crisis in border states.
“I am a Democrat and the former Majority Leader of the California State Senate,” Romera said in an op-ed for the Daily Mail.
“The first woman to ever hold that position.
“I am also a proud Latina.
“I am telling you that if the Democratic party thinks that Latinos are outraged by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sending migrants to Martha’s Vineyard – they are dead wrong!
“More than two million undocumented immigrants will be arrested trying to cross into the U.S. in 2022.
“And Democrats don’t bat an eye.
“But fly 50 migrants to one of the wealthiest places in America, spotted with multi-million dollar mansions, surrounded by the mega-yachts of the rich and famous and Democrats lose their minds?
“What a joke!
“On Friday, the governor of Massachusetts dispatched the National Guard to whisk away these 50 migrants to a military base in Cape Cod that once housed hurricane disaster victims.

Tuy nhiên, để tránh trường hợp có quý vị nào quên, chúng tôi xin trân trọng giới thiệu cùng quý vị “danh nhân” trong hình có tên là Barack Hussein Obama, cựu tổng thống thứ 44 của Hoa Kỳ, và là người hiện đang sở hữu một dinh thự nằm trên miếng đất rộng 29 mẫu ở Martha’s Vineyard; nơi được gọi là “sân chơi” hay “nơi nghỉ mát” của tỉ phú, chính trị gia quyền lực, và tài tử Hollywood.
Chúng ta cũng biết rằng ông Obama là người chống lại việc xây hàng rào ở biên giới Mỹ-Mễ, và đã từng có lời tuyên bố chào mừng người nhập cư với câu “Nước Mỹ lúc nào cũng vẫn là quốc gia của người di dân (America is – and always has been – a nation of immigrants).” Với một người có lòng tốt như thế, nhưng khi được hỏi là ông có sẵn sàng mở khu đất của ông để tiếp nhận người nhập cư từ các nơi như Texas, Arizona, Florida … hay không? Ông Obama đã áp dụng câu thành ngữ của Việt Nam “Im lặng là vàng.” Không biết ông ta có ý định xây tường rào xung quanh khu nhà đất của ông ta như Biden đã làm hay không? Biden có lợi thế hơn vì đang làm tổng thống nên cứ lấy tiền thuế của dân mà xây tường rào. Còn Obama nếu muốn xây tường rào thì phải bỏ tiền túi, hoặc phải tìm ai đó hay hội đoàn nào “bảo trợ” mới xong!
Một số “danh nhân” khác ủng hộ mạnh mẽ Biden và đảng Dân Chủ cũng sở hữu nhà cửa, đất đai ở Martha’s Vineyard, cũng đều “thủ khẩu như bình” hay nôm na là “câm miệng hến” khi được hỏi một câu tương tự về việc “mở cửa” đón nhận người di dân lậu.
Mới đây, thống đốc Florida Ron DeSantis đã gửi hai chuyến máy bay chở 50 người di dân lậu đến sân nhà của các “danh nhân” với lời nhắn:
“Các tiểu bang như Massachusetts, New York và California có điều kiện tốt hơn cho việc chăm sóc những cá nhân mà họ đã mời vào đất nước chúng ta bằng cách khuyến khích nhập cư bất hợp pháp thông qua việc tự nhận họ là ‘các tiểu bang trú ẩn (sanctuary states)’ và hỗ trợ chính sách ‘mở cửa biên giới’ của chính quyền Biden”.
Mặc dù cư dân của Martha’s Vineyard đã mạnh mẽ bỏ phiếu ủng hộ chính sách nhập cư của Biden, được các đảng viên Dân chủ tâng bốc là nhân ái và hoan nghênh chào đón, nhưng ngay lập tức phản đối việc thống đốc DeSantis đưa di dân lậu đến sân nhà của họ, và gọi tình trạng này là một “cuộc khủng hoảng nhân đạo” và điều động Lực lượng Vệ binh Quốc gia đến để giải quyết vấn đề.
Những nhà phân tích bảo thủ cũng cho biết rằng ngoài ông Obama, còn có nhiều “danh nhân” thuộc hàng triệu phú, tỉ phú, và tài tử Hollywood có nhà nghỉ mát ở Martha’s Vineyard. Chỉ riêng khu đất rộng 29 mẫu của ông Obama, nếu đặt các nhà tiền chế (trailers) và dựng lều thì cũng dư sức tiếp nhận hàng ngàn người di dân lậu.
Một số cư dân thường cũng kêu gọi ông Obama hãy mở cửa đón nhận người di dân, bởi vì đây chỉ là nhà nghỉ mát vào mùa hè của ông mà thôi. Quý vị đoán thử xem ông Obama sẽ nói gì về việc này?
Thế nhưng chỉ sau 48 giờ khi người di dân đặt chân xuống Martha’s Vineyard thì Vệ Binh Quốc Gia đã được điều động để đem họ về căn cứ của quân đội.
Vâng, thưa quý vị,
Chỉ có 50 người đã là một “vấn nạn” cho Martha’s Vineyard, và họ đã phải điều động Vệ Binh Quốc Gia đến để giải quyết. Thế nhưng với hàng triệu người tràn ngập biên giới của các tiểu bang Texas, Arizona, Florida thì bà “Sa hoàng Biên giới – Border Czar” Kamala Harris chỉ đứng xa mà cười hô hố là hết chuyện. Thế cho nên thống đốc Texas gọi Biden là “Tổng Đạo Đức Giả (Hypocrite-in-chief)“.
