AMEN was honored to celebrate its Second Anniversary Celebration on December 10th, 2023 in Alexandria, Virginia. A big thank to all the speakers, all the performers and their leaders to make extra efforts to attend the celebration despite the all day long bad weather.
We would like to extend our gratitute to especially thank all dedicated volunteers who support our cause. Behind every successfully organized event there is an extraordinary volunteer team behind the scene and we highly appreciate your involvement, your time and your hard work.

Dear American Minority Engagement Network (AMEN),
It is with great joy that I recognize today’s special occasion. Although I am not there in person, I am celebrating AMEN’s 2nd anniversary along with you all.
My administration works every day to preserve the American Miracle. AMEN’s work to engage minority communities across the Commonwealth and United States directly contributes to its preservation. Your hard work and effort to hold trainings, conferences, and facilitate language translation is exceptional. Your work allows minority groups with the opportunity to further their education of public policy, hold discussions on a variety of important topics, and allow them to come together to celebrate their cultures.
I understand that many of the individuals you work with are immigrants. After my mother fled communist Cuba, she came to the United States. Hearing the stories of what she and so many others had endured in Cuba was heartbreaking. Americans’ ability to speak freely is an incredibly powerful tool. The stories of our family, friends, and neighbors are part of what keeps America the greatest country on Earth. Their voices are a tool of education and awareness.
On behalf of the entire Commonwealth of Virginia, thank you for amplifying the voices of minorities. To all those who had a hand in putting together this year’s program, congratulations on an extraordinary event. I look forward to continuing our work. My office and I join you in this joyous celebration!
