Senior Trump campaign and Republican Party officials reiterated in a statement shortly after 9:30 p.m. that Trump “is doing well and grateful to law enforcement and first responders for their fast action.”

”President Trump looks forward to joining you all in Milwaukee as we proceed with our convention to nominate him to serve as the 47th President of the United States,” read the statement, which was signed by campaign senior advisors Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita as well as Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Whatley and Co-Chair Lara Trump.
