Daylight saving time in Florida will begin on Sunday, March 9, 2025. At 2:00 a.m., clocks will be set forward one hour to 3:00 a.m. This adjustment will remain in effect until Sunday, November 2, 2025, when clocks will be set back one hour to return to standard time.

Impact on Florida’s main cities

  • Miami: With more daylight hours, residents and tourists will be able to enjoy beaches and outdoor activities until later in the afternoon.
  • Orlando: Theme parks such as Walt Disney World and Universal Studios will extend their hours, offering more time for attractions and shows.
  • Tampa and Jacksonville: The time change will favor the realization of sporting and cultural events in the evening, taking advantage of the additional natural light.

Tips for adjusting to the new schedule

  • Gradual adjustment: Modify your sleep routine in the days leading up to the change to make it easier to adapt.
  • Exposure to natural light: Spending time outdoors in the morning can help regulate the biological clock.
  • Consistent schedules: Maintain regular meal and physical activity schedules to minimize the impact of the change.
  • Sleep hygiene: Avoid caffeine and the use of electronic devices before bed to ensure restful sleep.
