Fentanyl is Synthetic "man-made) opioid Drug less expensive compared with plant-based Opioids such as Morphine, codeine, Cannabis.first in market and FDA approved in 1959 for pain killer, 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine. I have been working as an Oncology Data specialist at University of California San Francisco and observing from time to time Doctors prescribed Fentanyl for Cancer patients to reduce pain. However the dose is very small, 25-50 mcg or less . You know that 1 mcg is 1 / 1000000 g or 1 /1000 mg. in the 1990’s Fentanyl became available as a transdermal skin patch for Chronic pain. then the fatal overdose from illegal fentanyl out there is 2 mg. Or just 1 kg can kill 500,000 people. For visual illustration, three grains of salt worth of Fentanyl can kill you. In other words, Fentanyl is a quiet killer.You can’t typically see it, smell it or taste it.
We are addressing the illegal production of Fentanyl in the illegal market. It is the war on drugs and our nation is under attack. In the Last three years more Americans have died from drug overdoses than the combat deaths from World War I, the Korean War and The Vietnam War combined. Fentanyl Poisoning is now the leading cause of death for Americans between the age of 18 to 50 years old.
China is the principal supplier of precursor chemicals for illicit Fentanyl production. Then those drug cartels make illegal shipments to Mexico and some other countries in Central / South America. Then those fentanyl were transported illegally into the US through illegal border crossing or through sea vessels. And it is a quiz where in china is the Fentanyl Capital of the World? Hint: Where is the lab in China for the original COVID-19? Yes, it is the city of Wuhan,China. Some of the chinese Fentanyl producers are funded by the CCP.
The illegal Fentanyl can have different forms in disguise. It can be disguised as Counterfeit pills.
HALY Act President Trump signed the bill into Law on July 16 2025 and Stop Chinese Fentanyl Act of 2025 and the success of Border Control really help to fight the crisis. However, there are still a lot of illegal Fentanyl out there from any street corner across the US.
Conclusion: Here are some significant facts we should keep in mind:
1- One pill into your bloodstream can kill you. regardless it is the first time users or seasoned addict drug users.
2- The most common place to find fentanyl is on the street or even from a friend at a party.
3) Naloxone in the form of Nasal Spray or Injection can reverse overdose. It is over the counter without any prescription and can reverse the dose. Please find out where to purchase in local CVS and Walgreen or ask them if you can get them free from the Public Health local office. Please consider carrying it when you are going to the party.
