A 78-year-old man left his home in Northern Virginia Monday to take his car to a mechanic, but he has not been seen since that afternoon. News4’s Jackie Bensen reports he suffers from memory loss and needs blood pressure medication.
A family is pleading for help to find a missing 78-year-old man who left his home in Northern Virginia Monday and hasn’t been seen since that afternoon.
Quang Hang left his Chantilly home about 2:30 p.m. to take his car, a 2007 red Toyota Camry, to a mechanic in Leesburg but never arrived.
“He has not taken his medicine since Monday. He is missing five doses. We are incredibly concerned for his safety, for his health,” his daughter, Betsy Hang said. She’s the face of a large and desperate effort by friends and family to find her father.
Fairfax County police released images of Quang Hang at the Aldi supermarket in Chantilly Monday afternoon showing the clothes he’s believed to be wearing.

Betsy Hang thinks her father, who suffers from memory loss, took a wrong turn and started heading away from Leesburg.
Police say an image of his car was captured on the George Washington Parkway near Slater’s Lane at 4:50 p.m. Monday. Forty minutes later, an AirTag on his key chain marked its location on Old Colchester Road in Lorton.

Then, nothing.
“It’s dark. He was lost. He doesn’t know where he’s going. We really need the help of the community,” Betsy Hang said.
Quang Hang is a small-framed man, standing about 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing 125 pounds.
He was last seen driving the 2007 red Toyota Camry with license plates reading KGN6811.

Fairfax County Police released this image of Hang’s car.
Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to call Fairfax County police at 703-691-2233. If there’s immediate danger, call 911.
In addition to speaking English, Hang also speaks Vietnamese and Cantonese and may be drawn to places where people speak those languages.
