Trump pointedly warns Iran as U.S. military launches new strikes over ceasefire violations

President Donald Trump pointedly warned Iran Saturday night that its persistent violations of a ceasefire could prompt the resumption of U.S. military action to topple the Islamic regime.

"There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform. "If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist!"

Trump’s warning came as the U.S. military struck targeted sites in Iran in retaliation for Tehran’s drone attack on a Panamanian flagged ship passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

"United States aircraft just struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations, and coastal radar sites, for violating the Cease Fire Agreement, AGAIN! It is very possible that they will never learn!" Trump wrote.

U.S. Central Command said US aircraft struck their targets in the retaliatory strike.

“Iran had a chance to honor the ceasefire agreement” but elected not to do so, the military said on X.
