Hi Chuong and VACA Member
Several Conservative friends asked us to reach out to Charlie Chi Nguyen about the invitation and his support for Chuong Vo’s campaign against Derek Tran. I wrote the following email to Charlie and texted him at the same time because the July 28 Meet and Greet for Chuong Vo is just around the corner. About 24 hours later, I received Charlie’s response to share. I would like to close the topic discussion here and to VACA member, any further comments should be addressed either to Chuong Vo’s Campaign or Charlie Chi Nguyen.
I wrote:
Hi Charlie,
I hope you are doing well.
During our three-way conference call with Ms. Hoang Mong Thu regarding your decision to run for the CA-45 congressional seat, we discussed our shared America First goal of defeating Derek Tran. Based on that conversation, I recommended your candidacy to the VACA Executive Board. Although VACA is a small grassroots organization with limited resources, we were honored to fully support your campaign throughout the primary election.
Now that the primary has concluded and Chuong Vo has become our endorsed candidate for the general election, VACA is fully committed to supporting his campaign in what will be a challenging race against Derek Tran. We would sincerely welcome the opportunity to work with you in this important effort to help secure a Republican majority in the U.S. House during this critical 2026 midterm election.
At the same time, Dr. Liem Pham, President of VACA, continues to value your leadership and looks forward to supporting your future mayoral campaign. We hope we can find meaningful ways to support one another as we pursue our shared conservative values and long-term goals.
As part of our immediate efforts, VACA is hosting a Meet-and-Greet for Chuong Vo in conjunction with the introduction of our new book on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. It would be our pleasure to have you and Mai Hien join us for this two-hour event.

Your voice, leadership, and continued involvement in our community would make a meaningful difference as we work together to help elect Chuong Vo and secure a Republican majority in the U.S. House during this critical 2026 midterm election.
