Former Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons warned Saturday that the migrant unrest unfolding in Spain should serve as a cautionary tale for the United States, arguing that weak border security and restrictions on immigration enforcement could have serious public safety consequences.
Appearing on Newsmax’s "Saturday Report," Lyons said the scenes in Spain demonstrate "that if we’re not careful, this could happen to us again."
"You take a small town like Del Rio, like Harlingen, which almost had the same population as the Spanish city, and you can have the same situation here," Lyons said.
