Subject: Request for Review of Publicly Reported U.S. Entry Incident Involving Vietnamese Singer Thiên Quốc Trần (Stage name Quốc Thiên)
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing as a concerned US citizen to respectfully request that your office review a publicly reported immigration-related incident involving Vietnamese singer Thiên Quốc Trần (stage name Quốc Thiên) that reportedly occurred in April 2022.
According to multiple Vietnamese news reports published in September 2022, Mr. Trần was denied admission to the United States after arriving on a flight from the United Kingdom in the April 2022 timeframe. The reports stated that he arrived in the US on a B-1/B-2 visitor visa, intending to perform at a paid entertainment event organized by a promoter. The reports further indicated that U.S. immigration officers determined that the stated purpose of travel was not consistent with the visa classification, resulting in his denial of admission and return to his point of departure.
Mr. Tran is once again scheduled to perform at paid events in the US this August. Given his past violation of using a visitor visa for employment-related activities, I respectfully request that your office review the available records to determine whether any violations of U.S. immigration laws or regulations occurred and whether any further action is appropriate.
I understand that I am not a witness to the incident and that I do not have access to official government records. My request is based solely on publicly available news reports and is submitted in good faith for your consideration.
I am attaching, along with this letter, his US tour schedule from his public Facebook page, “Quoc Thien” and some of the promotional posters. These are paid events with ticket prices in the hundreds.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I appreciate your commitment to enforcing U.S. immigration laws and protecting the integrity of the immigration system.
Sincerely,
