Event: On September 21, the Russian government began a mobilization of its citizens to the armed forces in support of its invasion of Ukraine. Russia may refuse to acknowledge dual nationals’ U.S. citizenship, deny their access to U.S. consular assistance, prevent their departure from Russia, and conscript dual nationals for military service.
Commercial flight options are extremely limited at present and are often unavailable on short notice. Overland routes by car and bus are still open. If you wish to depart Russia, you should make independent arrangements as soon as possible. The U.S. Embassy has severe limitations on its ability to assist U.S. citizens, and conditions, including transportation options, may suddenly become even more limited.
U.S. citizens should not travel to Russia and those residing or travelling in Russia should depart Russia immediately while limited commercial travel options remain. The Department of State provides information on commercial travel on the Information for U.S. Citizens in Russia – Travel Options Out of Russia page on travel.state.gov. This site also provides information on requirements for entering neighboring countries, procedures for travel on expired U.S. passports in some circumstances, and visa requirements for families with American and Russian citizen family members.
We remind U.S. citizens that the right to peaceful assembly and freedom of expression are not guaranteed in Russia. Avoid all political or social protests and do not photograph security personnel at these events. Russian authorities have arrested U.S. citizens who have participated in demonstrations.

Democrat President Joe Biden’s administration has awarded a $41 million taxpayer-funded contract to one of radical billionaire George Soros’ groups to help illegal border crossers evade deportation from the United States.
The Acacia Center for Justice (ACJ) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that is financially supported by Soros.
Soros pumps cash into ACJ via his Vera Institute of Justice group.
ACJ has just scored a huge contract from Biden’s DOJ to provide “legal services” to migrants after they illegally cross the border and are released into the U.S. interior.
The group provides “free” lawyers for the migrants in the hope of helping them permanently escape deportation.

The Biden administration awarded $41 million in taxpayer-backed government contracts to a new liberal nonprofit working to help illegal immigrants fight deportation amid the escalating border crisis, Fox News Digital has discovered.
The Acacia Center for Justice, a Washington, D.C.,-based nonprofit born from a partnership between the Vera Institute of Justice and Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights (CAIR), has received six “legal services” contracts from the Department of Justice that carried start dates of Sept. 1, according to records.
The multimillion-dollar contracts began just months after the under-the-radar nonprofit received a July 29 determination letter from the Internal Revenue Service, which stated the group’s effective date of tax exemption was Dec. 29, 2021.
The Soros-funded Vera Institute of Justice was recently awarded a $172 million contract from Biden’s DOJ to do the same work.
Biden is not the first Democrat president to hand huge sums of taxpayer money to Soros’ organization, however.
In 2018, the Vera Institute of Justice was also awarded $310 million by the Obama administration to help Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs) avoid deportation.
The latest estimates reveal that the Biden administration, from February 2021 to August 2022, has released at least 1.35 million illegal border crossers into American communities.
The number makes for a foreign population that’s larger than the resident populations of Wyoming, Vermont, Alaska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Delaware, Rhode Island, and Montana.

WASHINGTON — Vice President Kamala Harris mistakenly touted the U.S. “alliance with the Republic of North Korea” in remarks Thursday from Korea’s Demilitarized Zone that sought to reaffirm America’s commitment to the security of its Asian allies.
“The United States shares a very important relationship, which is an alliance with the Republic of North Korea,” Harris said, intending to refer to South Korea as she kicked off remarks after touring the DMZ. “It is an alliance that is strong and enduring.”
Although the vice president did not correct herself, she went on to hail the U.S.’s “ironclad” commitment to the defense of South Korea amid threats posed by North Korea. Harris said she told South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeo in a meeting Thursday that “we are aligned on this issue.”
“Our shared goal – the United States and the Republic of Korea – is a complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula,” Harris said.
Harris’ gaffe came one day after President Joe Biden made a slip-up as well when he asked in a speech whether late Rep. Jackie Walorski, R-Ind., was in attendance. Walorski died in a car wreck in August.

Hours after Harris began her departure back to the U.S. after her four-day swing to Asia, North Korea fired two short-range ballistic missiles into the sea, marking North Korea’s third round of missile launches this week.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said North Korea “has a history of doing these types of tests,” adding that Harris’ Asia trip this week is a demonstration of “our rock-solid commitment” to the security of Japan and South Korea.

Harris said the DMZ “reminds us of the dramatically different path” that South Korea and North Korea have taken.
“In the south, we see a thriving democracy, innovation, economic prosperity, and strength,” Harris said. “In the north, we see a brutal dictatorship, rampant human rights violations and an unlawful weapons program that threatens peace and stability.”

Oslo says the damage to the Nord Stream infrastructure looks “deliberate”
The military has been deployed to protect Norwegian energy facilities in the wake of the suspected sabotage attack on Russia’s Nord Stream 1 and 2 undersea gas pipelines, Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere has said.
“Military forces will be more present and visible near our oil and gas installations,” Stoere told reporters at a press conference on Wednesday.
“The information we have received today further strengthens assumptions that the damage [to the
pipelines] is a deliberate act. It has created a very serious situation.”
The prime minister added that “it is crucial that Europe and NATO stand together” on the matter.
Tone Vangen, the senior emergency official in the country’s police, confirmed that security, as well as the monitoring of threats, has been boosted at oil and gas facilities.
The two Nord Stream pipelines, which connect Russia to Germany under the Baltic Sea, lost pressure on Monday, after which numerous leaks were detected. Swedish authorities recorded what they said were two explosions in the areas of gas leaks.
Kremlin comments on fate of Nord Stream
Sweden, Denmark and the EU all said that the disaster was an act of sabotage. The Kremlin, meanwhile, said the disruption of gas deliveries is a big problem for Moscow and argued any allegations that it was behind the damage were “absurd.”
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Thursday suggested it could have been a “terrorist attack” and was unlikely to have been possible “without the involvement of some state power.”
Russian pipeline operator Gazprom said this month that Nord Stream 1 will remain shut down indefinitely due to maintenance, citing problems with the return of repaired equipment because of Western sanctions imposed on Russia over its military offensive in Ukraine.
The Nord Stream 2 was never fully operational because Germany halted certification in February, due to the Ukraine conflict.
